I have been working as a clinical dietitian for nearly 20 years, and have worked in a number of hospitals across Melbourne. I have been specialising in nutrition for kidney failure and also bariatric surgery for over 16 years, and I love the connection that can be made with people along a bariatric surgical journey! I believe in empowering people to make their own decisions about eating, promoting a healthy and balanced approach to food. It is essential to work with the team of surgeons, the physicians and the staff in the rooms to ensure every patient is armed with the information they need, with constant communication to make sure you achieve your goals.
I balance my work as a dietitian with life as a busy mum of three young children. I also run a small food business at local farmers’ markets, where I make sure I am constantly promoting the message that healthy food can taste great too.
